Boardmaster
offers many Services such as free consultation. We at Boardmaster mainly focus
on Installation of Pre-Finished hardwood, Sand and Refinishing Dull and faded
Hardwood that already exists in the home and also site finish of various wood
species such as: Oak, Maple, Brazilian Cherry, Ash, Walnut, and many more.
Boardmaster can support many different board widths from 1.5” – 8”+ depending
on client needs. Our trained installation technicians will carefully and
efficiently install your beautiful new hardwood floor during times in the day
that fit the client’s schedule. However Sand and Refinishing is a tedious job
where as our main focus is to restore the existing hardwood flooring to near
new as individual circumstances permit. We take great pride in not filling your
home with dust. Dusty environments result in an inferior restoration procedure
which is not acceptable through Boardmaster standards. Light years beyond our
competition due to our dust free standards, competitors will result in a gritty
less professional final product. Our clients are overwhelmed with the results
due to this dust free standard and we at Boardmaster base our reputation on it.
Installation and Repairs
Installation
is a step by step process that is similar to a jigsaw puzzle. The idea is to
keep the entire floor in square with the wall. Once the initial length has been
squared the rest is observation. What is required for a quality installation is
the understanding of board lengths as well as joint patterns. What we mean by
board lengths is consistent with both the length and width of the board in the
bundles. We also need to be concerned with how tight the joints are and make
sure that there is no significant pattern in the floor. Every floor needs to be
installed to manufacture specifications and installation procedures to honor
the wood flooring warranty. We at Boardmaster have been certified for
professional installation and have installed 100,000’s of square footage, 1 sq
ft at a time.
Sand and Refinish
Sanding
and refinishing is the bread and butter of our business. What we offer is a 95%
dust free sand removal system that is extremely efficient at keeping your home
clean of dust. We at Boardmaster understand that remaining dust is a huge
concern for our clients. Therefore we are constantly researching and
implementing new strategies and techniques to help prevent that nasty dust.
Sanding and Refinishing has a set procedure. What is required is an initial
sanding of the floors to eliminate the layers of finish already existing on the
floor. After the sanding we then move into the edging steps of the process.
This step is accomplished with a unique sanding machine that is designed to get
close to the edge of the flooring which results in sanding the perimeter of the
floor. Once
the floor has all been sanded down we now have a blank canvas to work with.
This is the time where a quick vacuum helps to eliminate any dust remaining on
the floor. We then proceed to buff the floor to make it nice and smooth for
better adhesion of the sealer and finish for an amazing final product. The Do
It Yourselfer’s have tried using rented equipment from various rental
facilities and have failed due to improper use of machine or procedures
resulting in unsatisfactory results.
